ACCOUNT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

The customer, in this case, is both the external client and the internal team.

An Account Manger is a mediator, a planner, and the human glue that brings it all together to deliver amazing results. You have to be patient and gracious, but also able to be firm and hold people accountable.

Yep, there is some admin work that comes along with it. But when it comes to delivering, the details matter. We are looking for someone that can handle the details while always keeping the bigger picture in mind.

General Responsibilities:

  • The Account Manager can juggle multiple projects at one time, ranging from smaller tactical assignments to supporting complex, integrated campaigns.
  • Manage client expectations and strategies from inception through delivery
  • Gathers, activates and communicates relevant project information to the team to ensure that the outcome addresses the Client’s business strategy
  • Spearheads the development of initiatives by building and managing timelines and budgets, working collaboratively to meet Client deliverables with all internal teams and Client contacts
  • Understanding of and ability to recommend a media mix including digital and traditional media
  • Compiles and submits weekly status reports to clients
  • Communicates progress and challenges in a timely and succinct way
  • Leads internal and Client meetings, and proactively contributes to recaps by compiling notes indicating key points and clear next steps
  • Communication with creative vendors, solicitations for quotes
  • Communication of internal and Client change Quality Assurance of Client assets for job processing: ad unit specs, copy, images, files, legal specifications
    Proofs ad materials, scripts & spots to ensure accuracy, approvals, versioning and legal compliance.
  • Assists with market analysis including, but not limited to: competitive analysis, industry trends and campaign performance
  • Develops client scopes of work, manages billing with the Client and internal accounting team
  • Works with Account Director to manage account P&L and ensure profitability of accounts
  • Supports Account Director on larger accounts and initiatives
  • Leads brainstorming sessions with Strategy & Creative teams
  • Possess/portrays a strong positive, professional attitude at all times and works effectively in a remote team environment
  • Miscellaneous projects, as assigned

Reports internally to the Account Director.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or relevant, equivalent experience.
    2-3 years of Account Service experience at an agency or internal marketing team.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships with people at all levels of the organization
  • A strong sense of urgency and commitment to get the job done quickly and with high quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while working independently
  • Can work independently with a “get it done” mentality
  • Familiarity with Monday project management platform a plus
  • Positive outlook and good interpersonal skills required
