Position General Summary:

Develop and lead the creative vision for brand building customer experiences across multiple digital platforms and national campaigns for FLVS – the leading Kindergarten-12 online education provider. Lead a team of designers, copywriters, and content developers in guiding all marketing and promotional efforts for various online educational products and services for B2B and B2C audiences. Partner with IT and Curriculum Development to guide and influence cross-divisional developers, designers and copywriters in UI/UX across multiple digital platforms.

Essential Position Functions:

  • Establish creative vision for national brand building activities; inspire brand storytelling across the Marketing & Communications department; lead the creative process from concept development to completion
  • Translate business objectives into clear creative strategies that differentiate the organization and inspire audiences to action
  • Guide and influence multidisciplinary and cross-divisional teams including IT and Curriculum/Course Development; develop design standards for the entire organization
  • Lead and direct the creative team in the production of all marketing and promotional materials
  • Develop and lead presentations to senior leadership that articulate creative strategies and solutions to business challenges
  • Responsible for hiring and training creative staff in the Marketing & Communications department
  • Manage and cultivate career development of staff members, including designers, art directors, copywriters, photographers and web developers
  • Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met across the organization
  • Create PDFs and graphics for online applications to be Section 508 compliant, according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WGAC)
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design or Art; or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience
  • Master’s degree preferred or equivalent certifications


  • 10+ years of developing and guiding creative direction on marketing/advertising campaigns and customer experiences across digital platforms and traditional channels in agency or corporate in-house marketing departments
  • 5+ years in a leadership role, leading a team of creative cross-functional talent
  • Experience with UI/UX and traditional design concepts

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s):

  • Strong creative vision with demonstrated ability to understand business objectives and translate them into brand storytelling
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and creative tools such as Keynote, Google Suite, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere, and Animate)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the marketing design process
  • Stellar communication, presentation, problem-solving and project-management skills
