Ethics in Advertising Seminar with Wally Snyder

The Orlando Chapter of the American Advertising Federation and Ad 2 Orlando, in partnership with the Institute for Advertising Ethics (IAE) will host an “Ethics in Advertising” panel discussion moderated by Wally Snyder, Executive Director for the Institute of Advertising Ethics, AAF Board Member and President Emeritus.

The two-hour seminar will be held the morning of November 11th at the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne and is designed to help advertising practitioners respond more effectively to ethical dilemmas of today.

Wally Snyder

Executive Director, Institute for Advertising Ethics
President Emeritus, American Advertising Federation

Wally Snyder has devoted his entire professional career to working on advertising development, regulation and ethics. He served as a trial lawyer and as Assistant Director for Advertising Practices at the Federal Trade Commission before joining the American Advertising Federation where he served as president and CEO, from 1992–2008. Currently, he serves as Executive Director for the Institute for Advertising Ethics. Wally was inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame® in 2009.

Vinny Tafuro

CEO, Conscious Capitalism Florida

In 2012 Vinny Tafuro published Corporate Empathy, capitalizing on the conversations, debates, and economic shifts being catalyzed by the growing rights, freedoms, and responsibilities of corporations as a result of corporate personhood. His Corporate Empathy brand uses sardonic and pointed commentary and slogans on high quality apparel and merchandise as a challenge to dated economic theories, thereby holding companies to human standards. Tafuro is also the founding president of the Gasparilla Interactive Festival, Tampa Bay’s showcase of cutting-edge technologies and digital creativity and the Conscious Capitalism Florida Chapter, whose purpose is to seek out and celebrate the role models of Florida’s conscious business community.

Sam Rodriguez

Sam served in a senior position with Mediacom Worldwide/Grey Advertising in New York, Mexico City and Bogota. He has built successful advertising agencies in Miami, Orlando and Chicago. He has developed and executed media strategies for advertisers in heavily regulated categories like British American Tobacco (tobacco), Diageo (alcohol), PokerStars.net / FanDuel (Gambling/Gaming) and GlaxoSmithKline (pharma).
Sam is the Managing Partner for Quiroga Media one of the largest independently owned media agencies in the America with offices in North and South America.

Scott Robertson

Sales Director - MBI

Scott Robertson currently serves as the National Sales Director for MBI, a full-service printing and direct mail facility. During his 20+ year sales career he’s sold cars, people, zebra drinking troughs and giant bugs. For 15 of those years Scott has worked in marketing and advertising for multi-billion dollar powerhouses and charming mom and pop shops. Scott has a undergraduate degree in Mass Communication: Public Relations from Towson University and a Master’s Degree in Communication Education from Longwood University. Before getting married and having two daughters, he had a wealth of dark, luscious hair.
